Analytik Jena US, a company of the Endress+Hauser Group, is seeking a highly motivated and successful instrument sales pro to handle sales in the Midwest Region. Get in at the leading edge of our new cutting edge ICP-MS and ICP-OES, plus TOC and EA product sales in North America. This position will be based out of successful candidate's Midwest based home-office, in an area with a concentration of our Chemical Analysis product line activity and easy access to a major airport, and hub of activity. Priority will be given to candidates in the Chicago, Minneapolis and Indianapolis areas, but candidates from other major Midwest areas are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance may be considered for top candidate. Which tasks will you perform?
- Grow business and handle sales process from start to finish, including, prospecting, product presentation, negotiation, follow-up and closing the sale on capital equipment.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective and current customers; identify and create new customers through creative market penetration techniques, facilitate solutions to customer requirements, while meeting the company's strategic objectives and improving overall market share.
- Identify best system and configuration for customer needs; know competitive instruments and differentiation features of our systems to address competitive challenges; promote our products and services.
- Utilize CRM database to manage and track prospect interaction, ensure accurate documentation, maintain a healthy sales funnel, and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Arrange customer visits to demonstration lab in Houston, Texas.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback and reports to management.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals; deliver bookings and revenue commitments in accordance with targets.
What do we expect from you? You will have (required):
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Chemistry or related sciences, or equivalent experience, master's degree strongly preferred
- 5+ years proven record of related chemical analysis capital equipment sales, preferably Atomic Spectroscopy instruments
- Effective consultative selling in individual and team selling environments, with the motivation, knowledge and skills to close capital equipment sales, and build key account relationships
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills; dexterity to quickly make sense of complex customer requirements
- Positive attitude with superb interpersonal skills to work with diverse individuals and groups, including customers, distribution partners and company staff in all departments
- Work well in individual and team selling environment, including working with distribution partners
- Majority of weekday time will be in the field, with weekday overnight travel of 50-70%
You may have (preferred):
- 2+ years working in an analytical laboratory setting desirable
- Demonstrated time and territory management skills
- Drive to succeed, positive attitude, resilience, tenacity, excellent interpersonal and follow-up skills
- Sales hunter, consultative sales, with history of successfully building sales growth and exceeding sales goals

The anticipated pay range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary depending on the education, skills, and experience each candidate brings to the role.
