**Please note that while applications are being accepted, the interview process will not begin until the end of January 2026.** Entry-level professional nurse focused primarily on developing knowledge and skills. Provides safe patient care at a basic level and shows growth in ability to care for increasingly complex patients. Manages care and implements treatment plans at a basic skill level in collaboration with patients their families' physicians and other members of the health care team. Requires consultation with more experienced clinicians and benefits from feedback. This job description integrates the AAACN Scope and Standards of Practice for Professional Ambulatory Care Nursing, the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements, with the UVA Nursing Professional Practice Model.
