This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Under general supervision of the Manager, Distribution Services- Quality, implements and maintains quality assurance/control efforts at the AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group (ABSG) distribution centers. This role has responsibility for ensuring compliance with appropriate quality, regulatory and validation guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support front line operations supervisors in determining root causes by teaching/facilitating the use of various root cause methods. Monitors distribution center supplier quality

  • Issue CARs as necessary and work through appropriate channels in both organizations to correct issues. Ensures distribution center equipment used for GMP processes is compliant with SOPs such as calibration, validation and change control

  • Participate in the evaluation of temperature controlled shipping containers. Provides guidance to operations staff for quality related matters such as relabeling Supervise one, up to three associates Develop and analyze reports for quality indicators of DC support functions such as process audits, client audit results, title product returns, complaints and deviations

  • Maintains effective working relationships with internal customers, and customer quality and regulatory organizations Host and gather supporting documents during client audits

  • Responsible for implementing continuous improvement efforts Must be willing to work extended hours, as needed, in order to meet productivity goals

  • Must be able to be on call for temperature excursions and/or quality related emergencies

  • Performs related duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

  • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year degree program

  • Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; good group presentation skills

  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations and automated warehouse operating systems

  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance matters

  • Ability to train, motivate and direct the work of others

  • Strong decision making skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sedentary physical activity requiring reaching, sifting, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking and hearing

  • 75% or more time is spent looking directly at a computer. Associate is frequently required to stand, walk (or otherwise be mobile).
