Summary of Job Duties:The Neurology Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Manager oversees the operations of the newly accredited Neurology Residency Program in Northwest, AR. This role ensures the program's success by managing accreditation, recruitment, education, clinical training, research, and resident wellness initiatives. The Program Manager serves as a vital liaison among program leadership, faculty, residents, institutional stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is Arkansas' only academic health sciences center, combining education, research, and clinical excellence to improve healthcare outcomes statewide.Join us in shaping the future of healthcare through innovation and collaboration as part of our newly accredited Neurology Residency Program. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, general liberal arts, or related field plus three (3) years of project management or office coordination experience OR High School diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of project management or office coordination experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare administration, education, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of ACGME accreditation requirements and residency program operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Program Administration: Expertise in GME program operations and ACGME accreditation requirements.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills to guide program activities and ensure compliance.

Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations and provide high-level administrative support to the residency leadership team.
  • Supervise administrative tasks, manage records, and maintain complex electronic systems to support the program.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain residency data, including resident evaluations, work hours, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare Residency Training Verifications and recommendation letters for current and former residents.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all residency files and maintain compliance with ACGME, RC, and local GME policies.
  • Oversee residency recruitment processes, including the development of materials, management of applications via ERAS, and coordination of interviews and recruitment events.
  • Manage credentialing processes for residents and fellows in partnership with the DIO office.
  • Ensure residents and faculty comply with licensing and institutional requirements.
  • Complete annual ACGME reporting and coordinate new resident orientation and training.
  • Provide guidance to residents on educational goals and scholarly activities.
  • Administer exams and assessments, and assist with the development of learning and remediation plans.
  • Participate in education program meetings and support continuous improvement of the residency program.
