Job Description

The Taproom Lead will be responsible for daily taproom operations and be the point person for inventory and receiving at the Samuel Adams Cincinnati Taproom. This role will be responsible for opening and closing duties at the taproom when needed and will act as MOD as needed. This position will also process merch inventory. They will actively participate in weekly team meetings, coordinating with the local leadership team around beer releases, food planning, events, and future for the taproom. This role assist with executing the tour program, conducting tours and working closely with the Taproom Assistant Manager.

What You'll Brew:



  • Opens/closes CTAP as needed- weekend and weekday shifts. Make sure taproom is ready to open 15 minutes prior to opening and perform (or delegate) calling last call 30 minutes to close
  • Assistance with FC Cincinnati match day prep and execution, as well as special events with TQL Stadium
  • Participation with the local leadership team around ABP planning, marketing plans and beer release schedules
  • Serves as an able brand ambassador for the taproom, including greeting VIPs and Reservations groups and assisting with private events as needed
  • Conduct tours of the taproom- both public and private
  • Keeping up to date menus and Square menu items and distributing information regarding new beers to staff as needed
  • Returning dirty kegs to SACB, retrieving clean kegs for head brewer as needed
  • Coordination with Operations Admin Specialist for keg movement between SACB and CTAP
  • Merch Inventory- Once a month merch counts and submission through Yellow Dog
  • Tracking of goods signed out for bar usage
  • Assistance with cleaning and organizing taproom storage unit
  • Assists GM in daily cash management
  • Ensures that the cleanliness of CTAP and the safety of our guests and employees are maintained at all times, including replacing light bulbs as needed and reporting any needed facility repairs to GM
  • Cleaning of taproom above 6 foot, including ceilings, chandeliers, vents, etc.
  • Comprehensive cleaning of the taproom BOH items with the bartender team
  • Reports any disciplinary concerns during MOD shifts to AM and GM for addressing
  • Exudes culture, creativity, and fun on every shift by following the L B & T Mission Statement and Operating guidelines
  • Provides insight and leadership in the overall strategic initiative of the Brand by attending department meetings and discussing goals & strategies on weekly conference calls

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years in retail/restaurant management
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment
  • Strong organization skills
  • Passion for craft beer and a desire to learn
  • Ability to problem solve and handle high stress situations
  • Strong computer skills (Must be well versed in Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Outgoing and personable
  • Open to coaching and constructive feedback from peers and leadership team
  • Ability to work with a team and interact well with others


Level: 8

In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe pay rate for this role if hired is $17-$32 per hour.
