Home Health & Hospice is seeking a Hospice Aide (CNA)- Visiting Hospice to join their team. Along with typical patient care responsibilities within the patient's home, some light housekeeping tasks are completed. The position requires 2 years of CNA experience.

Summary: This position is per diem with variable hours.
The Hospice Aide role provides personal care and homemaker services based on care plan, assessments of patient's personal care needs, ability to perform activities of daily living and supervision of care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must obtain 12 hours of education annually.
  2. License/Certifications: State of Maine Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Valid Driver's license with vehicle and liability insurance as specified by agency policy required. Hospice certification must be obtained within two years of employment. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: Two years of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide required.
