Responsibilities

The ASIC Product Engineer is responsible for supporting a wide variety of ASIC components designed and tested within the Colorado Springs Technology Center. Note that the ASIC manufacturing (fab) is performed in other locations. Thus, the support required within our organization typically includes:

  • Troubleshooting DC/RF test failures (most parts are tested on a Advantest 93K test system)
  • Performing component physical failure analysis (SEM, C-Scan Ultrasonic system, cross-sectioning, and XRF tool available on site)
  • Evaluating data trends/yields for tested parts, including statistic analyses and limit setting
  • Working with design teams to ensure production is set up to succeed after new part introductions
  • Typical product engineer handles 30-50 products with volumes ranging from 20/year to 18k/year.
  • Continuous Process Improvement including Six Sigma and LEAN are a focus of our operations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are critical to success in this role.

Qualifications

EE Degree

Over 7 years engineering experience working with ASICs

Knowledge of fab manufacturing processes a plus

Experience with ASIC failure analysis methods

Pay Range:

The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.

USD $93,380.00 - USD $155,630.00 Year
