Day Shift - PRN

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. She honors patients; mind, body and spirit by respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of each individual. Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies and procedures, regulatory standards and professional guidelines. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity. Nursing excellence is promoted through helping relationships among nursing staff and across other disciplines. The Registered Nurse is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting and environment focused on healing and wellness.

The MFM RN provides specialized nursing care to patients with high-risk pregnancies under the supervision of MFM physicians. The RN works in collaboration with BHMG Perinatologists to effectively see approximately 40 patients per day in the outpatient clinical setting. Additionally, the RN collaborates with laborist, obstetricians, sonographers, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and their unborn babies

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Required:
  • Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky, BSN preferred
  • Basic Life Support
  • Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN, Labor and Delivery, Infertility or high-risk perinatal nursing experience preferred
  • Some positions will be required to maintain ACLS certification. Please seek departmental guidelines.
