OVERVIEW: The Manager of eCommerce Data & Analytics is responsible for assisting in the development of, and executing data-driven strategies that optimize the performance of digital commerce channels. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting eCommerce data to provide actionable insights that drive revenue growth, improve customer engagement, and enhance marketing effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics, digital marketing performance measurement, and eCommerce KPIs within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and/or beauty industry. This individual has a deep curiosity for data and problem solving, but also is very action-oriented. A strong communicator, this individual knows how to present analyses and strategic findings at all levels of the organization. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of digital and ecommerce analytics for Beiersdorf USA. This role is based in our Stamford, CT office 3 days per week so candidates must live a commutable distance from Stamford, CT. RESPONSIBILITIES: Ecommerce Data & Performance Analytics
- Develop and execute the data and analytics strategy for e-commerce growth across all online platforms such as Amazon, Pureplay accounts, Omnichannel accounts, and Social commerce
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align analytics initiatives with the ecommerce organization's overarching goals, such as market share, NS growth, and new to brand acquisition
- Provide market share and category analyses for Amazon and other online retailers
- Build out and execute on a powerful data visualization strategic plan for commercial performance dashboards through BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, SIGMA). This is inclusive of views for business reviews and ongoing analysis
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value (AOV), NTB, traffic sources, customer lifetime value (CLV), and ROAS
- Work closely with key retail partners (Amazon, Ulta, Walmart, Target) to analyze eCommerce sales data, category trends, and media investments
- Monitor the impact of category-specific promotions, seasonal trends, and social/influencer activations on sales performance
Digital Marketing Analytics & Optimization
- Measure the ROI of performance marketing campaigns, including impact of full funnel campaign activations - retail media, social, influencer, etc.
- Track the performance of paid media strategies (e.g., Amazon DSP, WMC Search, etc) on traffic, conversions, new customer acquisition.
- Analyze results to build clear post-campaign insights and paid media mix recommendations for future campaigns - i.e. new product launches, seasonal eventing.
- Develop attribution models to measure the impact of media spend across digital and omnichannel touchpoints.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6+ years of total experience; 4+ years focused on ecommerce data and analytics (similar role)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. MBA/Master's degree preferred.
- Experience with enterprise Data & Analytics tools and methodologies is required
- Experience working in both Amazon, Omnichannel, and owned ecommerce channels
- Expertise in digital marketing measurement (SEO, paid media, CRM analytics, attribution modeling).
- Strong proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4), SQL, Python, R, and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Experience with data platforms, data warehouse, data lake, data architecture, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools
- Understanding of emerging trends in e-commerce, media, and digital marketing
- Prior experience within CPG and multi-brand environment is required
- Ability to build partnerships and influence without authority across cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Excellent SQL skills with experience using statistical programming languages (Python, R, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets
- Experience creating executive-level dashboards using visualization tools like, Tableau, or PowerBI
- Prior experience in people and team management of 2-5 years highly desirable. Strong desire to be a mentor and help grow & educate a team.
