Role Overview:

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will gather and interpret financial information, transforming data into meaningful and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues. You will identify areas for change, make recommendations, and manage multiple demands and competing priorities. With a solid financial understanding and the ability to interact with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the integrity of financial reporting in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role will support the Global Culinary Kitchen (GCK) Division, which includes Nestle USA's key baking brands such as Toll House Morsels and Cookie Dough, Libby's Pumpkin, and Carnation Milks, as well as the import/export business which works to bring iconic brands from other Nestle markets, such as Maggi, into the US and vice versa.

In this role you will provide reporting and analysis on COGS, FFOH, Depreciation, PPV, PRO, and Cost Savings Projects. You will act as a change agent to drive standardization and improvement of processes and development of reporting tools supporting the Business Unit Leads, Decision Support teams, and Technical and Production (T&P) Leadership. Also, you must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with multiple customers including Factory Finance Teams, Divisional and Brand Co-Pilots, and other T&P Functions.

You will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with counterparts on their Finance team, as well as all other cross-functional partners, to drive E2E optimization for the GCK value chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare period-end reporting to support and analyze COGS, FFOH, Depreciation, PPV, and PRO- providing valuable insights to key stakeholders
  • Support the creation of Operational Budgets and Dynamic Forecasts. Coordinate analysis and presentation of results and insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage monthly forecasts working with division, Operations Controller and factory teams
  • Provide insight into the establishment of Cost Savings Targets
  • Consolidate and track actual cost savings performance at a project level monthly
  • Manage, lead, and identify projects related to E2E value chain optimization to drive cost savings
  • Support the updates to Forecasts (Risks & Opportunities) providing insights for operational cost variances and purchase price variances
  • Prepare standardized and ad hoc operational financial performance reports supporting the analysis of factory financial performance
  • Drive ad hoc projects related to standardization of reporting, improving internal controls, or increasing efficiencies

Requirements:

  • BA/ BS with Major or Minor in Accounting or Finance, or BA/ BS Degree with relevant coursework
  • Minimum of 3.5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
  • Preferred: 1-3 years working in a manufacturing environmentor relevant costing experience
  • Excellent financial analysis sills
  • Ability to communicate across Divisions and with upper levels of management (oral, written)
  • Effectively balances pressures and demands of multiple customers and competing priorities
  • Consistently challenges current status and shows how things can be improved
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • SAP or other ERP experience and knowledge of Oracle Planning Tools
  • Strong project management skills
  • Analysis, forecasting, budgeting experience
  • Costing and accounting knowledge
