ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR - Civil SUMMARY Mortenson is seeking an Environmental Coordinator for our Civil Operating Group responsible for supporting Mortenson's environmental program for project sites and promote environmental compliance of construction activities. RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and administer the environmental program at each work site.
- Support project management team in executing site specific environmental plans and activities
- Participate in and contribute to project planning
- Attend preconstruction and preparatory meetings with subcontractors
- Monitor trade partner work plans and activities for environmental concerns
- Assist with implementation of policies and procedures for compliance with all environmental regulations
- Support environmental orientation and training programs
- Assist with onsite best management practices for environmental management
- Monitor implementation of environmental mitigation measures
- Conduct work site environmental inspections
- Monitor and record environmental data
- Assist with incident analysis and response
- Work with customer's environmental personnel, environmental consultants, and regulatory representatives
- Accompany environmental, health and safety, and regulatory personnel on work site tours
- Ensure maintenance and inspection of environmental equipment
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office and pertinent environmental related software programs
- Familiar with environmental concepts, practices, and procedures
- Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies to team members and outside parties
- Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
- Ability to travel up to 100%
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous related experience a plus
- Current driver's license

**The base pay range for this role is $27.93/hr - $37.69/hr MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
