Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • At least three years of experience supporting applications at a technical level, mobility and/or IoT.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Ability to receive client's approval to work on contract required.
  • Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included).
  • Knowledge of MDM Applications.
  • Experience with application analysis and process maturity models preferred.
  • Experience supporting ERP/CRM applications for functional business areas desired.
  • Ability to work cross functional with both technical and business staff.
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and training skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle competing demands.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to information stored in business applications and documents.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Working Conditions: Encountered on a regular basis as part of the work this job performs.

  • Typical office environment.
  • Requires some work in an environmentally controlled room with cold temperature and loud noise.
  • Requires on-call pager support after standard business hours 24 x 7 on a rotating basis.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel, ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch, and reach with hands and arms to install and maintain computer-networking equipment.
  • Close vision at 20 inches or less, ability to identify and distinguish colors to install and maintain computer-networking equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to install and maintain computer-networking equipment.

Responsibilities

Summary

The Applications Administrator provides applications administration and analysis focused on process improvements and data efficiencies across the business application portfolio to enhance business operations. Supports a business functional area as a Subject matter expert for the applications. Assists business users/customers with technical support and application configuration to maximize the value to the user/customer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Applications Administrator provides technical support and administration for business applications.
  • Analyzes business processes, configures the business applications to support the processes and provides reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Collaborates with various business functions of the company to optimize the use of business applications and the underlying application data.
  • The Applications Administrator tests, troubleshoots, and debugs smartphone applications on all applicable versions of smartphone firmware and operating systems.
  • Troubleshoots MDM issues related to smartphones.
  • Answers escalated support calls from Call Center specialists that work directly with the smartphone end users.
  • The Applications Administrator creates test plans for mobile device application troubleshooting.
  • Assists the database team with analysis and design activities to maximize the value of the application data shared across the business.
  • The Applications Administrator provides guidance and recommendations on maximizing application value including various modes of delivery (client-server, web, mobile or any combination).
  • Troubleshoots application issues which includes working with application vendors as a technical point of contact.
  • Assists development-operations teams with work tasks related to applications within area of expertise.
  • Performs special projects, such as application discovery, selection, development, implementation, quality assurance and upgrades.
  • Monitors trends and application advancements within area of expertise.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
