Moog Medical is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer.

To be considered for the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, here are the skills you'll bring with you:

  • Bachelor's (B.S.) in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a four-year accredited university; minimum five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Statistical analysis along with an understanding of the Design of Experiments
  • Technical writing for highly regulated environment
  • Fixture design
  • Solidworks, or other 3D modeling software
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and produce working prototypes
  • Have an understanding of Basic, Digital electronics principles and Analog electronics
  • Understanding of bills of materials and product structures.
  • Root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead automation projects from concept to implementation
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred but not required.

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll also be responsible for:

  • Proactively work to identify and resolve production issues, field failures, and customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction ideas
  • Design, develop and supply appropriate tools, equipment, processes and documentation needed in production to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of assembly, test and repair operations
  • Participate in and in some cases lead Kaizen, Gemba, and other lean manufacturing efforts for areas assigned
  • Initiate Engineering Change Notices (ECN's) and implement changes
  • Provide engineering assistance to aid in solving process-related production problems
  • Train production staff for assembly, test and repair procedures
  • Write precise technical documentation and reports
  • Creates and executes IQ, OQ & PO activities for new product transfer, improvements and relocation activities
  • Interface with customers regarding project and development-related issues and requirements
  • Develop and implement Preventative Maintenance and Calibration requirements for production equipment
  • Perform investigations for Return Material Authorizations, Nonconforming Materials and corrective actions.
  • Supports development of junior engineers
  • Assure progress leading to closure for all CAPA's assigned
  • Develop, submit and track spending for CAPEX projects assigned
  • Develop and present detailed project and issue status reports locally and to corporate leadership
  • Promote a culture that minimizes waste, maximizes productivity through the use of lean manufacturing principles, associate training and feedback
  • Assist other Engineering and Operations staff with their duties as requested
  • Assist with other projects as requested by a member of management

Salary Range Transparency:

Salt Lake City, UT $75,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
