Job Description
Overview of the Position:
Serve as the Quality Department's point of contact for requests that are outside of ACI's established processes by providing timely acknowledgement and follow-up communication. Serve as a "Flex Resource" for Quality Control in Dimensional or Final Inspection when approved by the Quality Assurance Supervisor. Assist Quality Assurance with external and internal audits. Identify, control and document non-conforming materials per established quality procedures for the ACI repair station. Assist Quality Assurance with warranty reviews, revision verification and document control. The Quality Specialist has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks. Administer and assist in various aspects of the company's training program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Quality system processes in compliance with FAA, AS9110 and Customer requirements
- Primary Quality liaison serving Customer Service and Operations Departments
- Review and release Drawings, Work Orders, and Purchase Orders for accuracy and compliance to process or drawing.
- Draft and implement Electronic Visual Instructions
- Initiate and collaborate with others on non-conformance reports, revision changes and certification change requests.
- Identify and generate Non-Conformance reports
- Perform in process and final inspection of finished
- Proficient Quality Control inspector that can flex to TIL constrained inspection areas.
- Assist in ensuring that all policies and procedures comply with regulations, procedures, and
- Support Quality Assurance Department during product investigations and audits.
- Contribute to the review and revision and/or authoring of SOPs, Work Instructions, Master Repairs, Electronic Visual Instructions and other Quality related documents.
- Process components assigned to the Scan System's Quality Review location and meet assigned time in location goal.
- Participate in SMS analytical reviews and contributes to reducing workplace and component risks.
- Serve as backup for the Technical Publication Librarian in his or her absence.

- Able to complete document specialist training
- Any previous inspection or aerospace industry related experience is a plus.
- Technical Ability - Minimum of 3 years of Be familiar with 14 CFR 43, 65 and 145 requirements.

Requirements
Education / Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred and 3 years of related experience or some combination of education and experience is possible depending on experience.
