RSM is seeking a highly skilled executive to operate as a Managing Director in our Enterprise Account Leader (EAL) program with a focus on global German and European companies operating in the US. This individual will focus on the alignment and growth by identifying and pursuing key targets, supporting existing engagement teams with account expansion, and delivering exceptional client service. The role involves driving strategy, rigorous account planning, and relationship development across multiple core accounts, leveraging the firm's capabilities to address client challenges and drive new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth across the Audit Line of Business, deploying RSM's functional, industry, and global capabilities.

  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with stakeholders at key accounts

  • Develop and execute account planning and strategy, collaborating continuously with the account team.

  • Navigate the firm's client service matrix to determine the best-positioned participants for growth activities.

  • Promote cross-functional collaboration across LOB, SL, industry, channel, geography, and functional expertise.

  • Be accountable for value creation and articulate the impact of projects.

  • Assume ultimate responsibility for "delivery effectiveness.

  • Collaborate across LOBs to execute periodic idea-sharing discussions with clients.

  • Provide leadership across the go-to-market ecosystem.

  • Enable executive alignment, positioning perspective, and branding for the firm.

  • Seek feedback from clients and the extended team on engagement performance and overall relationship.

  • Keep abreast of latest developments as they affect accounting standard (US GAAP, IFRS, other local GAAPs) and the Firm's standards and policies

  • Integrate into the Assurance line of business, emphasizing audit services including U.S. components of German Big Four group audits.

  • Focus on smaller yet attractive audit opportunities, with potential for larger component audits.

  • Engage with German-speaking private equity firms to penetrate niche markets and expand service offerings, following the APS strategy.

Account Team Member:

  • Drive opportunities where EAL expertise is applicable.

  • Collaborate with RL/TFL on account strategy.

  • Promote cross-functional collaboration across LOB, SL, industry, channel, geography, and functional expertise.

  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with stakeholders at key accounts.

  • Take responsibility for "delivery effectiveness" in applicable engagements.

  • Provide technical Subject Matter Expertise.

  • Assist in closing deals.

  • Support fellow EALs on accounts where specific expertise is needed

Account/Pursuit Coach:

  • Assist account leadership in refining account strategy.

  • Support the identification and assembly of key resources.

  • Provide SME expertise to pursue strategic opportunities.

  • Aid account leadership with risk management identification, assessment, controls, and contingency plans.

  • Mentor account leadership in areas of brand, relationship development, acumen, value creation, delivering memorable experiences, and overall GTM activities.

  • Coach account leadership on program management, managing interdependencies between projects, and ensuring communication and collaboration among project teams.

  • Provide guidance on successful change management, including planning and preparation, engaging stakeholders, establishing clear communication, understanding training and development needs, managing resistance, and monitoring and evaluating progress.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Fully bilingual and deeply familiar with the German-American business community.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • CPA or CA certification.

  • 15+ years of experience in sales operations and/or account management within the Audit/Professional Services Industry; experience within the Industrial Goods/Consumer Goods industry is a plus.

  • Proven record of selling complex services and solutions at the "C" level executive.

  • Proven experience in operational business process improvement.

  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Ability to prepare presentations, including charts, graphics, tables, speaker notes, and handouts.

  • Exceptionally strong communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Effective organization and time management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Affinity for technology.

  • Strong background in German-focused professional services.

  • Possesses the rare combination of language skills, cross-border experience, and professional services expertise needed for this role.

  • Willingness to travel 25% of the year nationally and abroad, depending on client's needs.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $154,400 - $337,700

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
