The Medical Screening Clinician will work in the lab and be responsible for specimen receiving, specimen processing, and specimen testing.

Position Details:

Locations: 1013 Professional Court, Manning, SC 29102

Specialty: Urgent Care

Schedule: 10 hour shifts, every other weekend

Positions in this function may draw blood, collect samples, perform testing and analysis on samples, operate lab equipment, and report results. MA or Phlebotomist certification by a nationally recognized organization preferred. Screening Clinicians typically require graduation from an accredited associate's degree (or 60+ credit hours) or certificate program and certification as a Technician by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

Primary Responsibilities:



  • LAB_ Perform Biometric Screenings
  • Work with applicable office staff (e.g., staffing coordinator, account manager) to determine specific needs and features of the screening process (e.g., screening staff, contact names, billing, travel arrangements)
  • Obtain, select and manage supplies needed for biometric screenings
  • Ensure proper set-up of biometric screening station (e.g., well-organized, equipment availability and functionality, participant privacy, adequate waiting areas, sanitary conditions)
  • Take biometric measurements (e.g., blood pressure, height/weight, hip and waist size, bone density, body fat composition)
  • Draw blood (e.g., venous, finger sticks) and prepare for analysis (e.g., centrifuge)
  • Administer immunizations
  • Submit blood samples for processing to applicable clinical labs (e.g., LabCorp)
  • Perform established quality checks of biometric samples
  • LAB_ Interact with Screening Participants
  • Interact with customers to ensure their comfort and privacy (e.g., professional, welcoming, guidance to appropriate locations)
  • Ensure completion of applicable paperwork by participants (e.g., insurance forms, consent and release-of-information forms, qualification forms, medical release forms)
  • Provide clear explanations of standard biometric screening processes and purposes to participants (e.g., Panel C)
  • Offer optional biometric tests to participants, as appropriate, and provide explanations as needed
  • Provide participants with appropriate supporting documentation, as needed (e.g., brochures, VIS)
  • Collect payments from participants as needed
  • Answer participant questions or refer to appropriate resource for answers, as needed
  • LAB_ Compile/Document Biometric Information
  • Ensure proper use and processing of forms and other site-specific paperwork applicable to the screening process (e.g., label, stickers, consent forms)
  • Ensure alignment of participant paperwork with their other biometric information (e.g., sequencing of blood samples)
  • Ensure that all biometric information is recorded on applicable consent forms (e.g., height, weight, blood pressure)
  • Ensure that participants' biometric information is properly entered into applicable systems on-site (e.g., HPP)
  • Review screening results with participants, providing explanations and answering questions as needed
  • Transfer HPP data to Reports Department via VPN/Intranet, as appropriate

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable
