Learn more about the benefits of working at UC Brief Summary of Job Duties: Performs comprehensive maintenance and repair on UCSB fleet vehicles (includes gasoline, E85, diesel, bio-diesel, natural gas, hybrid, and electric vehicles). Work ranges from simple maintenance to replacing components, with an emphasis on technician and customer safety. Performs technically advanced repairs on computer controlled vehicle systems using appropriate diagnostic equipment. Performs repairs to vehicle's mechanical components using appropriate shop tools & procedures. Performs preventative maintenance inspections and repairs. Performs vehicle emission testing. Provides customer service and roadside assistance as needed. Provides coverage in absence of the Garage Supervisor. Performs driving duties as assigned. Accurately documents all work performed. Completes repair orders promptly. Attends appropriate technical training classes on current and emerging automotive technology. Participation in ASE automotive certification is encouraged. Must be able to work as a member of a team and share in the responsibility for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. Required Qualifications:
