This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Responsibilities: * Plan, develop and execute test procedures for flight hardware * Lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, direct technician work and coordinate with internal customers * Work with the design and systems engineers to plan tests of the integrated vehicle and subsystems, ensuring the tests are designed to verify the pertinent requirements * Troubleshoot issues and anomalies that arise during testing * Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks * Perform root cause, system hazard analysis and failure investigations * Find opportunities for safety improvements and cost savings * Proactively prepare status updates and communicates both within the organization and with direct customers * Have frequent inter-organizational and customer interactions on difficult technical issues * Work independently to determine and develop approaches to solutions * Participate in test readiness review, pre and post test briefings, and post test reviews. * Manage procedural redlines and updates during test campaigns * Coordinate test crews, support equipment and vehicle configurations for testing * Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations Qualifications: * Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space! * BS in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or related technical discipline * Typically 2+ years of applicable experience * Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills * Experience working collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment * Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion * Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired * Experience with space vehicle component, subsystem, or integrated vehicle testing including environmental tests like shock, vibration, modal, acoustics, thermal vacuum, thermal balance * Cryogenic systems experience * Experience with participating in NASA technical reviews * Experience with test facility instrumentation and Data Acquisition and Control Systems * Understands/experience with hazardous operations * Experience with scripting (Python or other scripting language) Don't meet every single requirement?
