Primary Purpose: The Senior Director of Asset Protection, Security & Safety is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of all asset protection and safety initiatives across retail stores and fulfillment centers in the U.S. and Canada. This role will oversee a team of Regional Asset Protection and Safety leaders and partner closely with cross-functional teams to reduce shrink, enhance operational safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect company assets, team members, and customers.

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the asset protection programs across all North America stores and fulfillment centers.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Regional Asset Protection and Safety leaders across North America.
  • Design and implement strategies to mitigate loss, reduce shrink, and enhance operational safety using data and business trends
  • Drive asset protection, security and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local safety and security regulations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Store Operations, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Risk teams to ensure an integrated approach to safety, security and asset protection.
  • Oversee investigations into internal and external theft, fraud, workplace incidents, and other security matters.
  • Analyze trends and KPIs to develop proactive solutions and track the effectiveness of programs.
  • Serve as a crisis response lead for security- and safety-related incidents, including natural disasters, civil unrest, or workplace emergencies.
  • Establish and coordinate post incident response such as garnering resources, partnering with emergency first responders and communicating efforts with the GSOC as needed.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance security and loss prevention capabilities.
  • Partner with law enforcement and external agencies as needed to support investigations and recovery efforts.
  • Perform store visits independently and in partnership with business leaders, and direct reports, leveraging tools to improve performance, execution, and efficiencies.
  • Identify safety concerns and work with business leaders to strategically foster a safety-conscious culture
  • Support special events and incidents which may include providing or supplementing security coverage or coordinating contract services.

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in asset protection, loss prevention, and safety, preferably in a multi-unit retail and supply chain environment.
  • 5+ years of experience leading retail and supply chain asset protection field teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
  • Wicklander-Zulawski (WZ) Interviewing/Interrogation certification required.
  • Strong understanding of security and safety and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with crisis management, investigations, and security technology systems.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate and build consensus across multiple stakeholders and functions
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures to various situations.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
  • Strong time management skills to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time which will include some overnight travel
  • Strong remote work capability and ability to manage responsibilities independently.

Preferred Certifications:

  • LPC (Loss Prevention Certified), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), CFI (Certified Forensic Interviewer), or equivalent.

BASE PAY RANGE$160,000.00 TO $190,000.00 Annually
