DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department embodies the university's tradition of excellence as a world-class leader in computer science and engineering education and research. Ranked in the top 20 nationwide, the department is dedicated to research, education and overall excellence. CSE has approximately 80+ faculty FTE, 20+ professional researchers, 50+ staff in career/casual titles, 300+ tutors, and 175+ TAs. There are over 1,900 undergraduate students enrolled in 3 majors, with annual enrollments of 25,000+. The department has a graduate education program with over 1,000 students (~350 PhD students and over 900 Master's students). POSITION OVERVIEW:Under general supervision of the Master's Program Manager, the incumbent is independently responsible for Master's Academic Advising, providing guidance in the administration all matters pertaining to admissions of Master's and Bachelor's/Master's Student Programs. Duties include monitoring and advising academic progress of approximately 900 Master's students, analyzing policy changes impacting CSE programs. The incumbent is also responsible for providing programmatic and academic advising to prospective Master's students (3,300+ applicants) with matters related to admissions into the department's Master's programs (Master's and Integrated Bachelor's/Master's Programs). This process includes: working closely with the Master's Admissions Committee, responding to inquiries related to various graduate programs offered, areas of faculty interest/research, and admission requirements. The incumbent manages the departmental admission database, assists in developing admission review tools, and provides statistical data and analyses as requested. The Master's Program Advisor participates in the administration of Master's student outreach and enrichment programs, and is involved in all other aspects of business pertaining to Master's Student Affairs, including assisting with the annual Master's Student Orientation. QUALIFICATIONS

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $53,800 - $91,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $25.77 - $43.58 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
