Overview

The VP of Financial Planning & Analysis - Direct has expertise in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and operations, and supports the initiatives and requirements of the Direct Sales Channel President. As the VP of FP&A for the Direct Channel, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the financial performance of the U.S based Direct Channel which represents approximately $1B in annual revenue. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional analytical skills.


Responsibilities

Financial Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement the direct channel's financial strategy to support long-term business objectives
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals
  • Monitor key financial metrics, identify risks and opportunities, and provide proactive recommendations to optimize financial performance.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for the direct channel
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and drive data-driven decision-making
  • Present financial results and insights to the corporate and direct channel executive team.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to financial and legal requirements

Strategic Financial/Operational Planning

  • Provide strategic financial and operational guidance and support to the corporate and direct channel executive team in evaluating business opportunities, organizational design and investments
  • Perform financial and operational due diligence and analysis for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic initiatives
  • Drive financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess the impact of various business decisions and guide strategic planning

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as accounting, finance, IT, human resources, marketing, legal, sales, service, logistics and administration to achieve shared objectives.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years' experience in a relevant role / field with 5+ years of management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of financial planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, including investment analysis, business modeling and mergers and acquisitions
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Must be dedicated to meeting the operational needs of the assigned client segments.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
