Position Overview: In this role, we are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sr. Director, Business to lead project budget planning, analysis, and operational efficiencies across our Technology and Product Strategy departments. This leadership role will drive transparency into project investments and align technology spending with business objectives, while identifying opportunities for automation and operational improvement. The Sr. Director will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit, and Product Strategy to enhance project reporting, budgeting, cost optimization, and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead annual budgeting efforts for Technology and Product Strategy, including staffing, contractor resources, hardware/software needs, and strategic investments.
- Ensure budget tracking and reporting are timely, accurate, and aligned with organizational policies.
- Oversee software development cost tracking, with proper categorization of capital and operating expenditures per internal guidelines.
- Collaborate with Finance partners and PSM to evaluate investment alignment and value within the Product Operating Model (POM).
- Run monthly and quarterly budget reviews with leadership, sharing software development spend and operational insights to guide decision-making.
- Maintain reporting processes that monitor spend, highlights efficiencies, and improves forecast accuracy.
- Build and maintain dashboards and key metrics to visualize department-level investment performance.
- Lead initiatives that improve budget and reporting processes through AI, automation, and analytics.
- Identify and reduce operational complexity for VizTech and PSM leaders.
- Own and evolve the internal software cost tracking and capitalization approach to ensure clarity, efficiency, and policy alignment.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure operational processes support broader business needs.
- Partner with Tech and Product leaders to find cost optimization opportunities in labor, vendor relationships, and infrastructure investments.
- Drive scenario planning and modeling to assess long-term business value and investment impact.
- Benchmark spending trends and operational costs to support accountability and strategic clarity.
- Equip leaders across Tech, Product, and Business with cost principles to drive operational accountability.
- Maintain clear documentation to support knowledge-sharing and consistent execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred or advanced degree in Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in project management, business operations, analysis, or technology planning, including at least 5 years of people management experience.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams in business operations, program management, or technology strategy.
- Experience implementing automation, AI-driven analytics, or process improvement initiatives in operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of technology investment planning, budgeting, cost benchmarking, and portfolio oversight.
- Experience in enterprise technology, SaaS, or product-led organizations.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and operational planning across technology teams.

Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.
