COMMUNICATIONS LEAD (STARLINK)

Starlink is seeking a resourceful and execution-oriented external Communications Lead to support enterprise customer marketing to grow Starlink's adoption across industries like aviation, maritime, and agriculture, among many others. As a key member of the team, the Communications Lead will coordinate communications with our enterprise customers, work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support priorities, and develop communication strategies that demonstrate the critical importance of Starlink across industries. The successful candidate is passionate about our mission, a strategic thinker with a can-do attitude, and a natural verbal and written communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where no problem is too great and no detail too small.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Collaborate with enterprise sales and product teams to align communications with campaigns, product launches, and major industry events spanning commercial aviation, agriculture, and retail.
  • Ensure external communications, including customer press releases, social media activity, and media interviews, consistently reflect Starlink's messaging, visual identity, and tone.
  • Support the development of case studies from start to finish, including interviewing customers, drafting content, coordinating approvals, and repurposing material for multiple channels-all with speed and efficiency.
  • Support speaking opportunities, contributed content, and media prep for Starlink executives advocating and promoting Starlink in a variety of mediums across the globe


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in external communications


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in external communications supporting B2B or enterprise audiences
  • Proven ability to create impactful content quickly and independently
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for technical accuracy and audience relevance
  • Experience working with or within complex industries like telecommunications, aviation, or maritime is a plus
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and navigating customer approval processes


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Communications Lead/Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year.
