SailPoint Product Owner

This Senior Product Analyst role in the Identity & Access Management (IAM) group will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of SailPoint identity governance solutions, including the full lifecycle management. This role will partner with engineering, operations, architecture, security, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, compliant, user-centric, capabilities. Focus on identity lifecycle management, access certifications, role management, policy enforcement, product requirements, user experience design, user acceptance testing, deployment planning and product strategies. This role will be translating complex requirements into actionable product features, owning the backlog, and ensuring successful delivery in a regulated environment. You'll also be the SailPoint product SME aligning IAM strategic and regulatory requirements with the product backlog/roadmap, prioritizing features based on value, risk, and cost, using KPIs/metrics to drive performance and continuous improvement and support audit and risk assessments. Effective communication across topics, teams, and levels: this role will lead demos, workshops, written and oral presentations.

Position Responsibilities:
Delivery Excellence



  • Provides strategic management of the overall Product program, ensuring that release schedules are met and risks managed.
  • Leads a collaborative, dynamic Product planning process prioritizing efforts that align with Comerica and Technology strategies and provide the best value and outcome for the investment.
  • While working with the delivery team, responsible for developing structured development plans that drive Product releases from inception through delivery.
  • Works with the Program/Project Management to decompose the Product Vision and Product Roadmap into themes which will be captured in the Product Backlog by the project manager or delivery lead.
  • While working with the technical teams and the business Product Owner, the Product Delivery Manager is responsible for driving a Release and Iteration Plan based on the Backlog.
  • Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of budget, scope and schedules.


Strategic Thinking



  • Works with stakeholders to expand product offerings.
  • Monitors current market, and competitive trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Supports new product ideation activities and processes.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and the business Product Owner on overall product strategy.
  • Maintains awareness of Technology strategies and direction to assure the alignment of the product's technologies.
  • Coordinates new product offerings and oversee flow of set up processes within delivery teams.


Collaboration



  • Works with the key stakeholders including the business Product Owner to define the Product Vision and
  • Product Roadmap for any given product that considers innovation, customer feedback and market/industry drivers.
  • Works in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams including security, risk/compliance, architecture and operations.
  • Ensures that all team members, including business partners, are working together effectively, are communicating with related teams and are producing quality work, in line with the overall Product vision.
  • Actively participates in the Product Development community, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge and bringing in best practice.


Communication



  • Maintains communication with stakeholders in Technology and other lines of business to ensure that there is visibility into the Product's direction, schedule, progress and operational status.


Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or 8 years of related experience with a demonstrated ability to successfully perform the requirements of the position
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Information Technology, Information Systems or Product Management
  • 5 years of experience in technical business consulting, business analysis or product design
  • 3 years of experience in strategic development
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Must have indefinite employment authorization.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and/or as a product owner
  • Knowledge of IAM concepts, including identity lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), access certification, policy configuration, role management, segregation of duties
  • Knowledge of other IAM tools, technologies, and operational topics, such as CyberArk, Okta, APIs, onboarding apps to SailPoint
  • Knowledge in compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, SOC, GDPR, HIPAA)
