Job Duties

* Perform all required setup activities to ensure the molding process meets the requirements

* Document processing changes, adjustments, problems or other action taken and notify quality

department for any possible dimensioning re-verification and visual criteria needed due to process

changes

* Perform visual quality checks and monitor press cycle times; make changes as needed to improve or

enhance product quality and efficiencies following proper change notifications

* Perform startup operations on all machines and equipment (i.e., Grinders, Dryers, etc.)

* Effectively troubleshoot processing concerns

* Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation

* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine setup,

production methods and sequence of operation when applicable

* Perform complex troubleshooting of equipment/tooling and perform adjustments

* Operate powered industrial equipment if needed

* Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately

* Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)

* Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

* Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

* Perform work under minimal supervision

* Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher level staff

* Possess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter

* Typically require a 2-year technical degree or equivalent and 4 to 6 years of years of experience in plastic

injection molding; experience driving powered industrial equipment preferred

* Powered industrial equipment certification preferred

* Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group

* Ability to lift/move heavy objects
