Description

As a member of our Private Banking Team, you participate in growing our business and your career. The private banker role serves as a proactive, client-focused, trusted financial partner to clients through a seamless delivery of credit and depository services. You will engage in business expansion for existing client relationships as well as engaging in new client development efforts by identifying and calling on prospects and clients to achieve established sales goals. You will provide premier client service while assuring bank reputation, profitability and asset quality standards are maintained.

Relationship Management/Client Service:

Maintains responsibility for retaining and expanding a specific book of relationships, working with the bank's full team of professionals as needed to serve provide superior service and to maintain knowledge of the intricacies of each account or relationship as needed.

Sales/Business Development:

Proactively investigates opportunities for expanding market share and making business more profitable. Particular attention and focus on identifying prospective clients as well as additional financial needs among present clients is essential. In addition, represent WTB and all business lines including Wealth Management & Advisory Services and Commercial Banking using a team approach alongside other bank experts as appropriate.

Risk Management:

Controls and minimizes potential risks through proactive relationship management and thorough knowledge of compliance and risk management. Keeps abreast of applicable laws and regulations, bank credit policy and other bank guidelines.

Qualifications:



  • Experience:


    • Private Banking lender with at least 8 years of experience, generally working with high-net worth individuals, professional service companies, or family office.
    • Ability to work with clients as a trusted advisor, with moderate to complex credit needs. Excellent relationship management skills required, along with a strong credit background and business development acumen.
    • Work experience in relationship management, including experience in specific unit areas like commercial real estate, cash management, commercial lending, residential real estate, and consumer lending.


  • Knowledge:


    • Knowledge of bank lending procedures, as set by the current, published loan policy.
    • Advanced loan documentation knowledge; understanding of complex credit structures and documentation.
    • Working knowledge of bank products and services.


  • Skills:


    • Proven analytical skills; ability to review and interpret complex data (determining risk, assessing complexity of accounts, etc).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze, synthesize and articulate complex ideas and communicate such to colleagues, team members, and clients.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with and work effectively with diverse groups of people, managing conflict, negotiating for results, and developing working relationships with potential and current clients.
    • Ability to set and achieve challenging goals.


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent experience.


Compensation:

Relationship Manager IV - $162,016.11 - $243,103.66

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Bellevue, WA. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is also eligible to participate in an applicable annual bonus and incentive compensation plan.
