What you'll do:

The Senior Accountant assists the Accounting Manager with the maintenance of the general ledger and related account reconciliations, international accounting, consolidation and internal and external financial reporting

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist in the month-end close, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing and reviewing account classifications in accordance with GAAP
  • Aid in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reports
  • Participate in the Accounting team's efforts to establish and implement effective financial controls, policies and systems
  • Support inventory accounting processes, including classification and reconciliation of inventory accounts (e.g., raw materials, WIP, finished goods), preparation of inventory valuation reports, and coordination with logistics and AP teams to ensure accurate reporting
  • Help with annual audit requirements of outside auditors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders within the Tobii Dynavox Group.
  • Manage sales tax reporting: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Payroll: Work together with the Payroll Manager, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and assist with the preparation of audit materials
  • Maintenance of general ledger system and consolidation tool
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years relevant experience, ideally gained through increasingly responsible positions
  • CPA certification highly preferred

What you'll bring:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
  • High proficiency with M.S Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Hands on experience with ERP and accounting reporting systems. Dynamics 365 experience is considered a plus
  • Experience in automating processes, streamlining workflows, and driving efficiency improvements is considered a plus.
