Job Title: Cart Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Job Description

Amcor Specialty Cartons is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cart Maintenance Technician to join our team in Reidsville, NC. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical abilities, organizational skills, and basic computer proficiency. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our cart systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on carts and related equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Utilize computer systems to track maintenance schedules and inventory.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes.
  • Maintains all print cart splash guards and keeps inventory stocked.
  • Performs weekly inspection of ink sumps and ink pumps.
  • Maintains Speedflow delivery parts inventories.
  • Maintains impression roll inventory, monitors conditions and pressure related issues.
  • Performs PM greasing during maintenance days of all presses.
  • Maintains Dr. blade assemblies and guards.
  • Lead or assist with new CI initiatives/projects.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift up to 100 lbs is required.
  • This position may require prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing, and speaking.
  • Must be able to hold, touch, feel, and manipulate with hands, product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.
  • Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to rotate shifts as required.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
  • Must be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a team environment.
  • Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs.
