Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze accounting information and prepare U.S. federal income tax return Form 1120 for a consolidated group.
  • Calculate and process quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions.
  • Prepare US income tax provisions consistent with IAS 12.
  • Analyze and document uncertain tax positions and support internal SOX controls.
  • Perform tax account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of tax balances in the general ledger.
  • Work with external auditors to support tax provision review.
  • Support IRS audit and notice activities including data collection and drafting responses.
  • Assist with research of technical tax issues and new tax legislation.
  • Participate in and/or lead implementation of process improvements.
  • Complete special projects and other compliance tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accounting, finance, legal, and external advisors to maintain accuracy and efficiency on all tax preparation and reporting activities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in a corporate tax department or a CPA firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Proficiency in OneSource tax software
  • Advanced degree
  • CPA certification or progress towards certification
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as BPC or HFM
