CNC Programmer Sr

This individual is responsible for supporting the development and/or maintenance of CNC programs and their function to produce components. The position validates programming by running samples, measuring, and submitting samples for third party verification. This position assesses machine function, tool application, program function, tracks performance, engages in root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions. This position reviews and releases special orders for programming and assists with programming for product launches/changes. This position is responsible for implementation of tooling, fixtures, samples, and operator training. This position will actively participate in improvement teams and generate new ideas to be pursued for both process and product improvements.

Use software expertise to interact with machinery, including programming and troubleshooting, e.g., InventorCAM, Maestro, Genesis, CamPlus, and Xilog
• Utilize measurement tools to verify equipment performance and assess findings
• Review, understand, and interpret design print requirements
• Daily interaction with all levels of production and maintenance teams
• Provide CNC equipment support for production demands during scheduled work hours, currently Monday - Thursday, 6:30am to 5:30pm, and be available as needed for equipment maintenance
• Assist in verification and creation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and training guides and materials
• Conduct on-the-job and classroom style training for all levels as needed
• Will communicate orally and in writing in both English and Spanish
• Apply problem solving with high attention to details and accuracy to all aspects of the role
• Upon agreement of goals and objectives, works with little to no supervision
• Manage multiple projects and business needs through time management skills
• Utilizes aluminum extrusion, fiberglass, and wood machining knowledge
• Seeks out ways to optimize materials / reduce scrap
• Daily use of MS Office 365 products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and SharePoint

• Associate degree in relevant field
• Subject Matter Expert, experienced with programming / CNC / Cad Cam Programming
• Knowledge of CNC equipment functions with skills in troubleshooting and repair solutions
• Demonstrated competence with Office 365, Inventor, and AutoCAD
• Demonstrated competency in metrology concepts and application
• Maintenance experience and high mechanical aptitude a plus
• Proficient communication skills in English and Spanish
• Proven abilities to train and assist in creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guides/training materials
