Job Description

Facilities Project Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing

Join a dynamic and innovative team at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing. As aFacilities Project Engineeron the SSBO Facilities Engineering Team, you'll play a critical role in driving technical solutions that enhance production capabilities, improve infrastructure, and support cutting-edge manufacturing processes. This is your opportunity to lead impactful projects from concept to completion in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead capital equipment projects from proposal through installation, including writing funding documentation and managing budgets and timelines.
  • Specify, procure, and implement custom industrial equipment tailored to production needs.
  • Oversee on-site equipment installations and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing operations.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and continuous improvement for installed systems.
  • Develop and maintain detailed 2D/3D facility and equipment layouts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and external partners to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Present project updates and technical content to engineering and production leadership.
  • Support other PCC engineering teams in solving complex, equipment-related challenges.
  • Represent PCC professionally in interactions with customers, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and driving results.

What You Bring:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on project management experience, including construction oversight.
  • Strong background in industrial equipment procurement and implementation.
  • Proven ability to manage project schedules and budgets effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with furnaces, pressure vessels, and foundry equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and machine design principles.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent project management training.
  • Experience leading engineering teams or supervising technical staff.
  • Understanding of OSHA, ANSI, and ISO standards for industrial safety and equipment.
