Job Summary

As a PLC Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related automation equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime of machine systems. Your expertise in control systems and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting will be key to supporting continuous operations and improving system reliability. The ideal candidate has strong skills in PLC programming, diagnostics, and maintenance of diverse facility systems within an industrial environment.

Job Responsibilities

* Perform regular maintenance, inspection, and calibration of PLCs, control systems, and associated hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in PLC programs, control panels, sensors, actuators, hydraulic valves, pneumatic cylinders, and related automation components.
* Repair, replace, or reprogram faulty PLC hardware and software to restore proper system function.
* Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to assist in system upgrades, modifications, and new installations.
* Maintain detailed logs and documentation of maintenance activities, program changes, and repair history.
* Support the integration of new automated equipment and ensure compatibility with existing PLC and fluid power systems.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies during all maintenance activities.
* Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical engineering, automation, or related field preferred.
* 3+ years of experience working with PLCs and industrial automation systems.
* 2+ years of expereince reading and interpreting electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams, and control system documentation.
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc).

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with programming languages such as ladder logic, function block diagrams, or structured text.
* Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including motors, sensors, drives, valves, and actuators.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a maintenance or engineering team.
* Willingness to work flexible hours or be on-call for emergency repairs.
* Reliable attendance is essential to support uninterrupted facility operations.

Compensation Range

The compensation range is between $32.00 - $45.00 per hour.
