We are seeking an experienced Manager in the energy and infrastructure financial modeling solutions space, who will perform and manage independent model due diligence of various financial models.
How you will contribute:
  • Working directly with infrastructure funds, lenders, developers, and asset managers to provide financial model due diligence services
  • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling and managing model due diligence engagements, following processes established by business line.
  • Managing the quality of deliverables and ensuring that they meet internal standards and client requirements and ensuring that model due diligence best practices are always adhered to.
  • Ensuring work plans are in place and followed including approach, test plan, quality control, and allocating resources as well as complying with outlined risk management procedures.
  • Reviewing financial models underpinning transactions in infrastructure, energy, and natural resources sectors, against project documentation, workshops, tax/accounting reports and market intelligence.
  • Financial management of projects, including billing and debt collection, and reporting on their progress to the director/partner team.
  • Develop trusted relationships with our clients in the Americas, ensuring quality deliverables and business growth across financial modeling due diligence and other service lines.
  • Sharing your experience and Forvis Mazars' financial modeling methodology in workshops and training courses with clients.
  • Be an active collaborator within the global team, and the global financial modeling due diligence service line community.
We are looking for people who have Forward vision and:
  • Superior analytical skills and capacity to provide quality deliverables with an attention to detail while working under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders and counterparties
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics or finance.
  • 4 years or more of experience related to financial analysis and modeling, gained while working in infrastructure or similar sector with an institutional investor, a developer, an investment bank, a professional services firm or a governmental infrastructure agency.
  • Specific experience in infrastructure and energy asset classes, with a strong commercial understanding of project structuring, documentation and financing and the ability to develop complex financial models independently.
  • Previous experience of managing or supervising team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA, CFA or other advanced designations considered an asset
  • Understanding of renewable energy markets including the modeling of US tax equity structures considered an asset.

New York City Pay Transparency
Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
