Archaea Energy, a bp company, is a leader in landfill gas to energy and the largest renewable natural gas (RNG) producer in the US. With big ambitions, we specialize in the development, construction and operation of RNG, landfill-gas-to-electric and dairy digester facilities. The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline.

About the role

The Financial Planning and Analysis team in Archaea is part of the Finance function and plays a key role in supporting the business to manage its financial planning, performance and reporting deliverables. The FP&A Senior Advisor position will report to the VP of FP&A and provides exposure to the CEO, CFO and Operations with close collaboration with ST&S, Performance and Accounting teams.

The position offers a great opportunity to gain insights into the drivers of Archaea's performance; while ensuring it is accurately represented at the Group level. The role will also support the overall team in delivering key business products i.e. LTPs, GFO, MBR and Monthly actuals.

Key accountabilities

  • Be a key finance liaison across the organization that supports operations, project management, and various shared service functions
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the value and performance drivers of the business providing insights and analysis of in-year and long-term business plans
  • Prepare material and provide insights for the Advisory Board reviews with EVPs and the Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) with CEO and Archaea leadership team.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the QPF, LEs and GFR submissions
  • Gain a deep understanding and monitor Cashflow and P&L trends, identify issues/opportunities for increasing value delivery and margin
  • Develop appropriate normalization of environmental factors and understanding the financial impact from changes in production, cost and capital.
  • Work closely with accounting to support reporting requirements related to BP.
  • Collaborate with Performance Management teams to assess the financial implication of production, price and cash cost changes.
  • Ensure full alignment with bp upstream reporting systems to ensure effective performance conversations based on accurate data
  • Provide support in preparing objectives and materials for the Capital Markets Day and external IR presentations.
  • Key role in leading and supporting all FP&A deliverables across Archaea.
  • Systematically identify and address continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects and requests supporting the business leadership team and the planning and performance management initiatives

Essential education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.

Essential experience

  • 15 years or more of experience in a demanding finance environment
  • Strong financial modeling skills required and ample knowledge of the BP financial system is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • PC Proficiency, including experience with MS Office Products.
  • Execution oriented leader and a high achiever with the ability to lead and motivate others

How much do we pay? $140,000 - $175,000. *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 - 240 hours of vacation per year for full times employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
