Job Description

FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Senior Data Engineers I in Jacksonville, FL to design and implement scalable and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to support the ingestion, transformation, and integration of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources into data warehouses and lakes. Develop and optimize large-scale data workflows and processing frameworks, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability in a cloud-based environment (AWS, Azure, GCP). Build and maintain robust data infrastructure, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time data streaming pipelines, to enable seamless data access for downstream analytics and applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data architecture, establish data governance best practices, and ensure compliance with data security standards. Research, design, develop, and implement data solutions to solve complex business problems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data systems, pipelines, and infrastructure, implementing automated monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. Architect and maintain data ingestion workflows using orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) to facilitate the continuous movement and transformation of large datasets across diverse environments. Implement and optimize distributed storage solutions for high-volume, high-velocity financial data, focusing on reliability and cost-effectiveness. Lead root cause analysis for complex data pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks, instituting best practices to minimize downtime and streamline data operations. Develop and enforce data engineering standards, coding guidelines, and security policies to ensure the scalability, maintainability, and compliance of all data solutions.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Technology Management, Computer Science, Statistics or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation: performing data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration techniques; working with R and python with programming languages; working with SQL and its use in code-based DBT ETL framework; working with ETL/ELT pipelines, analytical data modeling, aggregations, and metrics; utilizing Domo and Tableau BI tools and data visualization techniques; working with AWS, Azure, GCP cloud platforms; working with financial concepts or fintech software; performing statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and data modeling; and utilizing machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, data visualization, and data analysis. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in the above listed fields and one (1) year of experience in the above listed skills.
