Summary of Job Description:

The Accounting Manager (Int./JV) is responsible for the company's accounting for international business, partner brands, and joint venture investments.The position prepares the periodic and annual financial statements for the corporate owned international business, as well as managing the Accounts Receivable with international franchisee partners.The Accounting Manager is also responsible for preparing the financial statements for our partner brands.The position reviews Joint Venture periodic and annual financial statements and accurately records the company's investments.The position provides assistance with the preparation of the company's quarterly bank covenants and annual audit.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the company's accounting for international business, partner brands, and joint venture investments. Conducts periodic and annual closing for international company owned business. Prepares the periodic and annual financial statements for the corporate owned international business.Provides ad hoc financial reports to Senior Management.
  • Works with Operations and accounting firms to implement accounting processes and controls for international business, partner brands, and joint venture investments.Develops and implements accounting policies and procedures to ensure proper controls are in place.
  • Provides support to the international business team, including business analysis, ad hoc reporting, and managing international licensee accounts receivables to ensure proper revenue recognition and timely collection.
  • Conducts timely review and recording of joint venture investment transactions for minority owned JV partnerships.
  • Prepares periodic account reconciliations and quarterly bank covenant reporting.
  • Assists Accounting leadership with company's external annual audit.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives and special projects to further enhance and simplify processes
  • Provides customer service to Operations (GMs) in assigned regions, helping them understand P&Ls and responding to questions or issues.

Your background & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; major in Business/Accounting preferred with course work in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
  • Minimum five years of experience in private/public industry accounting, with increasing management responsibility.Nationally recognized public accounting firm experience preferred
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
  • If hired, completion of annual store training.

Pay Range: M2: $112,500 - $158,000 / Annual

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
