Role Responsibilities




  • Serve as the key financial advisor and strategic partner to regional teams, linking business strategies to financial objectives.



  • Lead the financial planning, analysis, and provide detailed analytics and consolidated insights on financial performance, trends, and forecasts to effectively support diverse markets, geographies, and agents / partners.



  • Collaborate with business teams for the development of financial plans, maximizing financial returns, managing risks, and transparently driving business priorities and outcomes.



  • Partner daily with business leaders to provide strategic finance support across the business stakeholders, geographies, products, and channels.



  • Provide timely, value-added analytics and business recommendations to effect strategic decisions, progress, and achievement of multi-year financial objectives.



  • Understand and clearly articulate complex business issues and evolving market dynamics, highlighting direct and indirect impacts to business strategies and financial goals.



  • Contribute to the annual strategic planning process, including the long rang financial forecasts. Own the timely communication, development, analysis, and completion of the annual financial plan for the business.



  • Provide forecast updates, monthly closes, flashes, and risk & operation processes.



  • Drive continuous analytics, trend transparency and reporting for critical areas / indicators of the business (e.g., transactions, revenue, pricing, commissions, agent performance, ROI for key initiative, etc.).



  • Identify and mitigate risks. Identify and drive to capture business opportunities.



  • Proactively communicate and work effectively across all levels of the company, including regional, digital, technology and corporate center teams.



  • Represent the business in critical reviews with Global Head of FP&A, CFO, and Executive Team.



  • Deliver clear guidance and expectations to business and Finance teams, work collaboratively and timely with positive outcomes across FP&A teams and cycles (e.g., Plan, Forecast, Long-Term Planning).



  • Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to Denver, CO office.




Role Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, plus 6 years of professional experience as a Financial Reporting Manager, Account Supervisor, or any occupation/position/job title involving international financial services.



  • Must also have experience in the following: 6 years of professional experience interacting with Executive Management.



  • 6 years of professional experience managing and leading finance teams.



  • 6 years of professional experience conducting metric and financial reviews.



  • 6 years of professional experience performing financial planning and analysis on financial performance, trends, and forecasts.



  • 6 years of professional experience performing continuous analytics and reporting for critical financial areas (including transactions, revenue, pricing, commissions, and ROI).

Salary

Annual base salary gross: $229,216-$325,367 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union's total compensation package for employees.
