What this job involves:
The Maintenance Mechanic supports the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. You will perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance across both interior and exterior property areas-including walls, flooring, fixtures, and roofing systems-to help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality environments for JLL clients.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to work orders for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed building systems and equipment
  • Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting findings that impact client occupancy and operational satisfaction
  • Complete general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and fixing doors
  • Assist the operations team with maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, or as directed
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as needed
  • Replace lighting and ballasts throughout the facility
  • Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts to maintain optimal system performance
  • Complete other tasks as assigned
  • Perform hazard assessments as necessary to ensure safety of work areas
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and proactively eliminate safety hazards
  • Maintain adherence to State, County, and City ordinances, codes, and laws
  • Complete required safety training as scheduled
  • Practice defensive driving at all times while on the job
  • Safely store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials according to company policies
  • Update work order status in real time
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as 360 Facility, to document all work performed
  • Perform vehicle safety inspections as required
  • Escalate problems or issues to customers and management promptly
  • Attend work and safety meetings as required

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical systems

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Ability to work from heights, including climbing ladders up to 30 feet with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a 20 lb tool bag
  • Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and work/extension overhead required
  • Ability to work in adverse conditions, including extreme hot or cold
  • Capability for prolonged periods of driving as needed

Estimated total compensation for this position:

48,500.00 - 70,500.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
