What this job involves:

This position focuses on operating, inspecting, and maintaining all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. You'll ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely while maximizing life expectancy. By anticipating necessary repairs and maintaining records of operating experiences, you'll minimize downtime and perform inspections and repairs to property interiors and exteriors, including walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:
  • Performing preventive maintenance and responding to repair work orders for mechanical, electrical, and other building systems
  • Maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior/exterior components
  • Conducting facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting conditions that impact client occupancy
  • Responding to emergencies promptly and effectively
  • Preparing summary reports on conditions found during work and recommending appropriate actions
  • Operating building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building equipment
  • Following safety procedures and maintaining good housekeeping practices in work areas
  • Supporting after-hours building-related activities as required
Desired experience and technical skills Requirements:
  • Universal EPA 608 Certification
  • Minimum of four (4) years technical experience in all aspects of building engineering
  • Strong background in packaged HVAC, plumbing and electrical equipment repair/maintenance
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders
  • Availability for on-call duties and overtime as required
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application
  • Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology
  • Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities

Estimated total compensation for this position:

68,640.00 - 74,880.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
