Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Statistician I to support the US Army National Guard (USARNG) G-1 Human Resources Management System (HRMS) contract. This entry-level role involves assisting in the development and application of statistical methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data. The Statistician I works under the guidance of more senior statisticians and analysts to support data-driven decision-making.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in applying mathematical and statistical techniques to analyze HR and operational data.
  • Support the design and implementation of data collection and analysis strategies.
  • Help interpret and summarize statistical findings to produce usable information.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports, charts, and visualizations.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in data handling and analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior statisticians and program staff to support performance measurement and reporting.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to perform functional duties under the oversight of more senior staff.
  • Familiarity with statistical software and data visualization tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Up to 3 years of professional experience in statistical analysis or a related field.
  • Must have a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with government or military data systems.
  • Exposure to economic statistics or workforce analytics.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security standards in a federal environment.
