Description

The Compliance Generalist assists the Compliance Advisory Manager or UDAAP Compliance Manager in ensuring an effective compliance management system. The Compliance Generalist will be dedicated to compliance support for designated lines of lines of business and operational units or marketing review and complaint administration. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

* Apply compliance knowledge and experience in review of documentation presented and make recommendations to improve compliance performance.

* Assist with research of customer concerns to evaluate for root cause and ensure compliance risk is properly mitigated.

* Assist with ensuring adequate policies and written 1st and 2nd line of defense procedures are in place for compliance related functions. Ensure copies are tracked and retained.

* Assist with providing compliance guidance in product or operational change initiatives.

* Assist with preparation of material for Compliance Committee.

* Assist with review and monitoring corrective actions. Track corrective actions in AuditBoard.

* Assist with documentation requests for compliance related monitoring, reviews, and audits, as assigned.

* Assist with analyzing incidents for compliance impact and tracking remediation efforts.

* Assist with evaluating regulatory changes for business impact.

* Perform compliance monitoring reviews, as assigned, to ensure regulatory compliance with applicable regulations. Prepare management report on findings.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Industry and Work Experience:

* Minimum of 3 years financial institution experience, with at least 1 year in compliance related functions and demonstrated proficiency with bank loan and/or deposit origination and servicing systems.

Academic:

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Bachelor's degree preferred.
