Summary:

The main function of a software QA engineer is to research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of software, systems, and processes and develop quality standards. A typical software QA engineer has the ability to read and interpret technical languages including but not limited to Javascript, C++, etc.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate closely with other team members within the department.

* Conducting testing as per the set standards and procedures

* Ensure that the testing is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures

* Submit testing results as per procedures.

* Experience in testing web-based systems and applications on computers and mobile devices

* Experience working with test scripts and test cases

* Experience working with digital wallet

* Register detected bugs/issues and follow up with fix regressions

* Follow urgent requests with direction

* Review and test written logical database descriptions and identifiers.

* Analyses software programs for bugs and errors in written code, through the conducting of system tests and requirement checks.

* Facilitate the maintenance and repair of software programs when bugs arise.

* May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.

* Coordinate testing activities.

* Develop automation scripts using open-source tools.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, preferably in CS, CE, and EE

* 0-3 years of experience in the wireless industry preferably in Wireless Technology Mobile QA (Please note: Zero to Three years)

* Preferred to have experience in Smartphone SW/HW QA life cycle, test plans, test executing, reporting results, and regression tests

* Preferred to have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in wireless technologies including GSM/CDMA/WCDMA/LTE/5G and/or exposure to RF network engineering

* Preferred to have in-depth knowledge of messaging features including SMS/MMS/RCS and its underlying signaling messages

* Preferred to have in-depth knowledge of IMS features including VoLTE/VoLTE/VoWiFi/VoNR and a basic understanding of OTA signaling messages

* Strong and effective interdepartmental communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, communication (verbal and written) skills, and organizational and documentation skills

* Works independently and in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames. Perform to complete tasks and objectives that are clearly defined and guided by the supervisor.

* May require business trips and additional hours of overtime work as business demands
