The Opportunity As our business continues to grow, our team is evolving to proactively support the dynamic needs of the Liquids Marketing and Trading department. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to work collaboratively with traders, schedulers, business analysts and leadership. The ideal candidate excels at both routine and complex tasks, demonstrates sound judgment with minimal supervision, and brings strong organizational and analytical skills to support business operations. This role also involves representing the company in customer interactions and delivering valuable insights to the Liquids Marketing and Trading team. The position reports to the Director of Liquids Marketing and Trading. What You Will Do * Schedule pipeline and terminal positions, ensuring the team's portfolio requirements are met while reflecting the company's standards in every engagement * Lead FOB and Market Hub scheduling activities, providing backup support across other scheduling functions as needed * Maintain and operate the scheduling workbook daily, uploading accurate data into the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system of record and supporting the Position Reporting Analyst * Aggregate and manage large datasets to support comprehensive market analysis and insight generation * Develop a strong understanding of crude oil markets to offer market perspectives and contribute to trade strategies, considering both short- and long-term market dynamics * Assess crude oil infrastructure developments and evaluate their implications on market conditions and the team's portfolio, while supporting potential business development initiatives * Operate effectively in a non-regulated environment, adhering to all compliance guidelines and upholding the company's Code of Business Ethics * Other tasks as required Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Commerce, or Economics * At least 15 years of progressive experience * Proficient in advanced computer applications, with strong expertise in Excel * Solid understanding of the crude oil industry or a closely related sector * Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills * Sharp analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail * Strong knowledge of data management and databases, with the ability to efficiently capture and transform complex data sets * Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently under tight deadlines and competing priorities * Demonstrated ability to adapt skills and knowledge to dynamic challenges and evolving business needs * Eagerness to learn, grow, and achieve success * Committed team player with a track record of building and sustaining collaborative relationships Preferred Qualifications * Experience in the energy sector * An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered This position requires candidates to: * Have valid authorization for international travel (including but not limited to Canada and U.S.) * Successfully complete pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing * Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review * Be available to travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training (approximately 5% of work schedule) * Be willing to stay overnight away from their home base as required (also estimated at up to 5% of work schedule) * Participate in an on-call rotation and provide emergency support when needed * Pass pre-employment screenings including bankruptcy, credit, civil, and criminal background checks The successful candidate may be appointed at a level appropriate to their assessed qualifications and experience.
