Job Description

This role is accountable for identifying and implementing partnership opportunities and new sales for a large US Financial Institution's payments business, with a primary focus on the Consumer Credit line of business.This position is responsible for increasing Visa alignment, engagement, and revenue through generating and delivering on strategic opportunitiesto optimize and grow the performance of the Consumer Credit portfolio.This position is also responsible for expanding revenue opportunities around money movement and digital solutions by building and strengthening relationships across the organization and identifying and implementing joint opportunities and initiatives. The position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including VCA (Visa Consulting & Analytics), Product, Marketing, Digital, and Innovation to achieve joint goals and to maximize business performance.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in building a robust pipeline and the ability to execute on ambitious goals. The candidate should be an experienced sales and business development leader who has worked in the payments ecosystem and demonstrates the ability to cultivate key account-level relationships with banking clients and navigate across complex, matrixed organizations.This role requires the ability to clearly articulate Visa's value proposition to varied audiences and be an expert consultant to secure mutually agreeable engagements/solutions. This position will report to the Visa Account Team Lead.

Accountabilities

  • Act as the Visa consultant to a top tier US issuer and manage the client's Consumer Credit, money movement and digital enablement strategies for Visa products and services.
  • Drive the strategy, pipeline, and agenda for the areas of responsibility and provide leadership and focus to drive results.
  • Develop and execute customized account plans to increase revenue and market share with the client.
  • Deepen the client relationship with Value Added Services by identifying strategic opportunities through client engagement.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the segment and customer's business needs and deliver value to the client and their customers.
  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge and technical aptitude on Visa products and services.
  • Influence the client's vision for the future of electronic payments, consistent with Visa's strategies.
  • Continuously review client strategies and market landscapes to recommend, develop, and implement new & creative approaches that ensures that client and Visa business objectives are met.
  • Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the management, relationship, and direction of the business.
  • Independently lead and manage on-site client visits with various client stakeholders. Prepare presentations, proposals and negotiate contractual relationships.
  • Develop in-depth and productive relationships with key client decision-makers.
  • Motivate and inspire Visa subject matter experts (SMEs) to support client's goals and objectives.
  • Manage client reported issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong focus on execution and deliverables. Proven record of exceeding goals.

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
  • 10-12+ years business experience with related sales and management experience in the payments industry.
  • Deep expertise in payments products, specifically Credit, money movement, and digital capabilities.
  • Experienced solution sales leader with a record of accomplishment for delivering results and must possess the ability to identify the inspired path forward to partner.
  • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing, and closing a complex, competitive sales effort.
  • Ability to implement strategic initiatives, policies, and operational decisions.
  • Expertise and knowledge of Visa Value Added Services, and deep understanding of Visa internal systems, processes, and structure.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills. Experience in managing relationships and cultivating deep, trusted partnerships with clients and partners. Ability to explain complex business concepts to broad audiences in an engaging way.
  • Natural collaborator with excellent communication skills. Must be self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and competence to influence across multiple levels and organizations including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and group presentation skills. Executive presence, and comfortable presenting with the C-suite.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to challenge the status quo and identify new opportunities to innovate and differentiate.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 153,800 to 278,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
