Position Overview

We're seeking a Senior Product Technical Writer to join our Product team and serve as a strategic partner across Product, Technology, and Operations. In this role, you'll be embedded in the product lifecycle, collaborating with Product Managers, Technical Architects, Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver clear, accurate, and impactful documentation for our most critical products and services.

This is not a traditional tech writer role-you will be a core contributor to product readiness and user success, responsible for delivering documentation that improves product understanding, adoption, and usability for both internal and external audiences.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end documentation strategy for assigned products, including user guides, release notes, API documentation, feature overviews, SOPs, and internal product enablement materials.

  • Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineering teams to translate requirements, workflows, and system behavior into accurate and intuitive documentation.

  • Participate in product planning activities (sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT) to stay aligned with release timelines and product roadmaps.

  • Standardize and scale documentation processes, templates, and intake mechanisms to support consistent, high-quality content across the organization.

  • Review and rework legacy documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with current product capabilities and brand voice.

  • Structure documentation for searchability, AI consumption, and reuse, ensuring content is modular and accessible to both end users and internal systems.

  • Facilitate product-related internal communications such as executive updates, product launch overviews, and knowledge sharing across teams.

  • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring product capabilities are clearly understood by business and operational users.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing or product documentation for complex software platforms or SaaS applications.

  • Proven ability to create content for multiple personas, including business users, developers, data scientists, and support teams.

  • Experience writing API documentation, developer guides, and integration content (REST, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger familiarity a plus).

  • Strong collaboration skills-confident gathering input from subject matter experts, product teams, and engineers.

  • Familiarity with Agile product development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub).

  • Expertise with documentation tools such as Markdown, Docs-as-Code, DITA, MadCap Flare, or similar content management systems.

  • Exceptional written communication skills-concise, user-centric, and technically accurate.

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Computer Science, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India.
