SUMMARY: The Senior Checking Services Representative is responsible for performing daily critical tasks related to checking accounts and ACH activity. This position primarily focuses on duties related to the Bank's overdraft privilege program, mobile deposits, return deposit items, and loss prevention tools. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs duties and applies critical thinking related to the following key/critical programs and tasks: Privilege Program, Return Items, Return Deposit Items, ACH Processing, and all various daily tasks. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of two years in banking operations is required. One year or more of overdraft decision experience preferred. Light collections experience, as it relates to communications with customers, is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in analyzing data from a data base or on-line reports is preferred. Must have a solid understanding of NACHA operating rules and guidelines, Reg E and Reg CC, UCC law related to check processing and endorsements. Understanding of Uniform Commercial Code Check Standards or National Check Professional will be required to be obtained. OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES: Exceptional interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Strong negotiation and solid decision making skills are required. Must be detail oriented and enjoy working with reports and deadlines. |
