Scope of Position Sonographer may perform obstetrical, gynecological, and fetal echocardiogram ultrasound examinations as ordered at all OSUWMC Ambulatory Imaging locations and inpatient care sites, as well as MFM/WI contracted Outreach sites. Position Summary The employee in this position is a part of the health care team performing OB/GYN ultrasound examinations, documenting, and relaying examination findings to the appropriate physician and referring facilities. This sonographer utilizes electronic systems to capture images and document findings. The sonographer provides educational opportunities to residents, MFM fellows, and sonography students. The sonographer must be certified by the ARDMS for the specialty OB/GYN examination. Minimum Qualifications For Hire: Graduate of an accredited ultrasound school. Individual needs to be registry eligible or certified by the ARDMS in OB/GYN. If registry eligible, sonographer must become certified in OB/GYN by the ARDMS. Previous ultrasound experience is preferred but not necessary |
