job purpose

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and enhancing business performance. A successful CI Specialist will analyze current practices and develop business process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows, structures, and/or teams to ensure continuous company performance.

key responsibilities



  • Help build and implement CI systems including daily management routines, cross-functional communications, and problem-solving processes.
  • Analyze operational data to identify and eliminate losses.
  • Support teams in defining standard work and building system reliability.
  • Lead initiatives on Autonomous Maintenance, and OEE improvement.
  • Train and coach operators in Lean tools and CI practices.
  • Engage directly with frontline teams to support daily execution.
  • Coaching in Daily Management System (MDI), problem solving, lean initiatives, and leader standard work
  • Leader for problem-solving projects


skills/qualifications



  • Associates degree in a technical field (biology, chemistry, math)[Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field preferred.]
  • Experience in Operations/Manufacturing
  • Familiar with A3 problem solving, Daily Improvement practices, tiered meetings, Gemba walks, and Six Sigma tools
  • 1-5 years of manufacturing experience; greenfield or startup experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI tools such as root cause analysis, 5S, SMED, and A3.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Motivated by accountability, curiosity, and drive. Strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Willingness to spend time on the floor, and with individuals and teams from all functional areas, building systems from the ground up

reports to: Continuous Improvement Manager

travel requirements: 5% (up to 30% in first 3 months)

exempt/nonexempt: exempt

Base pay range:
$75,000 $95,000 USD
