Position Overview


Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide overall management, guidance, and strategy development for the Women's Tennis programs. The Head Coach is responsible for implementing and managing all phases of a competitive Division II program in accordance with NCAA, Conference and University regulations.

Managing Work Processes
Manage all aspects of the women's tennis program in accordance with the policies and philosophies of WSSU, the CIAA Conference and the NCAA.

Coaching/Mentoring
Build and maintain a championship women's tennis program, promoting the academic progress of student-athletes, and working with the Head strength and Conditioning Coach to provide a conditioning and training program.

Instruction:
Plans and coordinates the in-season and non-traditional season practice sessions. Effectively analyzes and teaches the fundamental skills and strategics of the sport of tennis.

Managing Work Processes
Performs other duties as assigned.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
Provides an NCAA Division II Intercollegiate Athletics program for the University. Provides the personnel necessary to support an Intercollegiate Athletics program committed to winning championships and graduating champions for life.
