Part-time Faculty Positions DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The primary appointment will reside in the Department of Neuroscience. The successful applicant will establish an active independent research program that includes undergraduate students. Teaching responsibilities will include Introductory Neuroscience and Physiological Psychology courses and an upper-level course in Cognitive Neuroscience. The candidate will also be asked to develop upper-level courses in their area of expertise along with the opportunity to teach courses in the Liberal Studies Program. In addition to teaching and research activities, the faculty member will participate in service opportunities while contributing to both the Department of Neuroscience and the Psychology Department. About the College Applicants must hold a PhD and be broadly trained in cognitive neuroscience with a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Outstanding candidates from any specialization within cognitive neuroscience will be considered. Research can range from human subjects to invertebrate systems, but a preference is for individuals whose focus is more systems/behavioral as opposed to cellular/molecular. A preference will be given to candidates with specializations that complement and expand on current areas of expertise in the departments.
